Concrete Breaking by Pneumatic Jack hammer

A pneumatic jackhammer is a powerful tool used for breaking up concrete, asphalt, and other hard materials. It uses compressed air to drive a piston rapidly up and down, which in turn strikes a chisel bit attached to the front of the tool. This rapid hammering action breaks the material into smaller pieces.

PCC Breaking (Plain Cement Concrete Breaking)

PCC is a type of concrete that does not contain any reinforcing steel. It is typically weaker than RCC (discussed below) and therefore easier to break up with a jackhammer.Common applications for PCC breaking include removing sidewalks, driveways, and patios.

RCC Breaking (Reinforced Cement Concrete Breaking)

RCC is a type of concrete that contains steel reinforcement bars (rebar) embedded within it.The presence of rebar makes RCC much stronger and more difficult to break up than PCC.Jackhammers can still be used to break up RCC, but it may require a more powerful tool and a specialized chisel bit designed for cutting through rebar.Common applications for RCC breaking include demolishing walls, foundations, and slabs.

Concrete Breaking by Pneumatic jack hammer

This is a general term that encompasses both PCC and RCC breaking. When using a jackhammer for any type of concrete breaking, it is important to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, ear protection, gloves, and respirators. It is also important to be aware of the surroundings and to take precautions to avoid damaging any utilities or structural elements that may be located behind the concrete.
